Duties
- Assess clients’ needs through detailed interviews and develop personalized care plans that address their unique circumstances.
- Provide crisis intervention and behavioral health support to clients experiencing urgent or ongoing challenges.
- Coordinate services related to addiction counseling, child welfare, Section 8 housing, Medicare, and workforce development programs.
- Utilize motivational interviewing techniques to motivate clients toward positive change and sustained engagement.
- Monitor client progress regularly, adjusting plans as necessary to ensure goals are met effectively.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including social workers, healthcare providers, childcare specialists, and community organizations.
- Supervise junior staff or interns when applicable, providing guidance and mentorship to foster professional growth.
Skills
- Strong expertise in crisis management and crisis intervention strategies to handle urgent situations confidently.
- Knowledge of behavioral health issues, addiction counseling methods, and social work principles.
- Experience in supervising or mentoring team members or interns within social service settings.
- Familiarity with housing programs such as Section 8 and healthcare systems like Medicare.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to motivate clients using techniques like motivational interviewing.
- Ability to manage multiple cases efficiently while maintaining attention to detail and confidentiality.
